Four subpopulations of cells were analyzed: ciliated type I (CC I), ciliated type II (CC II), deciliated type I (DC I), and deciliated type II (DC II). The mean and SD of the zero-current level (measured in voltage clamp) or resting potential (measured in current clamp) are given. By the use of a two-tailed Student's t test for groups of unequal size and variance, the probability that corresponding groups are from the same underlying population is determined and tabulated at the bottom. None of the pairs was found to be significantly different at the 0.05 level.
