  • Under vehicle conditions, HRs show a higher number of BrdU+ astrocytes, whereas LRs show a higher number of undifferentiated cells. After chronic FGF2 treatment, LRs show a twofold increase in the number of BrdU+ neurons and a fourfold increase in the total number of BrdU+ astrocytes, making differences between HRs and LRs in the total number of BrdU+ astrocytes disappear. This disruption in HR and LR differences was also observed in the total number of undifferentiated cells, as HRs showed an increase in the number of undifferentiated cells after FGF2.
