Mean values ± SEM of the time spent sniffing the novel mouse or the empty compartment during the sociability test, and the two stimulus mice (known, Stranger 1; new, Stranger 2) during the social recognition phase for the four mouse lines. Statistical differences between genotypes (KO/TG vs WT) and within genotypes (successfulness of the test, i.e. most time spent with mouse compared with empty and new compared with known) were calculated with a Student's t test for normally-distributed data (regular font) or with a Mann–Whitney test for non-normally distributed data (MW; italic font).
