PAPs with peak heights >50 mV from baseline were detected and counted in the presynaptic recording. Within a ±100 ms epoch from every PAP, EPSCs with absolute peak heights >40 pA from baseline were detected and counted. The data are organized in four categories: 0, 0: no EPSC detected 100 ms pre-PAP and no EPSC detected 100 ms post-PAP; 1, 0: EPSC(s) detected 100 ms pre-PAP, but no EPSC detected 100 ms post-PAP; 0, 1: no EPSC detected 100 ms pre-PAP and EPSC(s) detected 100 ms post-PAP; 1, 1: EPSC(s) detected 100 ms pre-PAP and EPSC detected 100 ms post-PAP. The percentage of the total number of PAPs is included for each of the categories.
