  • Quantitative analysis of mitochondrial size, shape (expressed as an aspect ratio of major to minor axis), intermitochondrial distance, density (total number of mitochondria per 200 μm length), and mitochondrial load (summed mitochondrial area per 100 μm process length) in distal ALM processes at five time points from 1DA, 4DA, 8DA, 11DA, and 15DA-old animals. Data were pooled in eight independent trials from the total number of animals as indicated and are expressed as mean ± SD.
