Accordingly, many studies were interested only in the relation of foreperiod duration to RT (e.g., Bertelson, 1967; Ollman and Billington, 1972; Miniussi et al., 1999). In other words, many studies have focused on the effect of presenting a warning signal only by considering the evolution of RT according to the cue–target delay and did not use any baseline to control for the cueing effect.
