In contrast, only higher doses of Hcy (50 mg/kg) produced a significant effect on sleep by decreasing paradoxical sleep, while the seven times lower dose was ineffective [273]. However, a sole significant study reported that SAH administration in animals stimulates the production of melatonin during the day [33].
