Association of lifetime major depressive disorder with enhanced attentional sensitivity measured with P3 response in young adult twins
2022, Biological PsychologyCitation Excerpt :The recordings took time on average 20 min including instructions. In an electrically shielded room, EEG was recorded using a 64-channel electrode cap (Virtanen, et al., 1996) with nose-reference, and 100 Hz low pass and 500 Hz sampling rate. EEG epochs were stimulus-locked and the duration was 900-ms (including 100-ms pre-stimulus baseline).
Efficiency of working memory encoding in twins discordant for schizophrenia
2009, Psychiatry Research - NeuroimagingCitation Excerpt :EEG recordings were obtained in a magnetically shielded room (Euroshield, Ltd.) while subjects sat with their heads placed inside a whole-head EEG/MEG instrument (Elekta Neuromag, Ltd.). The EEG signal was recorded from an array of 66 equally spaced Ag/AgCl electrodes referenced to the nose (Virtanen et al., 1996). Signals were digitized at 500 Hz, with the band-pass filter set at 0.01 and 160 Hz, with a 12-dB/oct roll-off.

2008, NeuroscienceCitation Excerpt :Electroencephalogram was recorded with 60 C-shaped Ag/AgCl electrodes (outer diameter 10 mm and inner diameter 6 mm) in order to avoid overheating due to eddy currents induced by the magnetic pulse. The electrodes were mounted on an elastic fiber cap to form a multi-channel EEG array (represented in Fig. 1B, Virtanen et al., 1996). The reference electrode was attached to the nose.
