    Epilepsies are neurological disorders characterized by the presence of epileptic seizures and neuropsychiatric comorbidities [1,2]. Despite the great variety of anticonvulsant drugs [3], the current pharmacological treatments cannot control seizures in one-third of the cases, and those patients are called pharmacoresistant [4,5]. Therefore, new therapeutical approaches are required to improve behavioral, neurological, and psychological alterations associated with epilepsies [2,6].
