In the article “The Ets Transcription Factor GABP Is Required for Postsynaptic Differentiation In Vivo,” by Alexandre Briguet and Markus A. Ruegg, which appeared on pages 5989–5996 of the August 15, 2000 issue, a printer's error introduced an incorrect definition for “GABP” in both the abstract and the introduction. GABP should have been defined as “GA-binding protein,” as GA refers to the nucleotides (G and A) that are present in the core of the DNA motif recognized by this transcription factor.
