How to Purchase Single Article Access

Users without a subscription to the Journal of Neuroscience can purchase one-day access to articles for US $35 per article. Please note that Open Choice articles and all articles older than 6 months are freely available without a subscription.

  1. Log in to your JNeurosci account here, www.jneurosci.org/user/login. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one at https://www.jneurosci.org/user/register.
  2. Once logged in to the website, navigate to the article you want to purchase and click the "Add to Cart ($35)" option found underneath the article citation information. If you are on the article's page, scroll down to the "Purchase Access" option at the bottom of the page.
  3. A sidebar listing the article you have added to your cart will appear on the right of your screen. You may continue shopping for more articles by selecting the "Keep Shopping" option.
  4. Once you are finished shopping and are ready to checkout, click on the black cart at the top of the page and then Proceed to Checkout.
  5. Complete the billing information form on the next screen and review the items in your cart before submitting your order.
  6. Once you have submitted your payment, you will be returned to the JNeurosci website where you will have access to the article(s) you purchased for 24 hours.
